Compulsory use of cables with classification of reaction to the minimum fire CCA-S1B,D1,A1 for the inner installation of houses
New rule of application in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, on 09 November 2023 published the DECREE 192/2023, of 7 November, of the industrial security of the establishments, the installations and the products.
EUno Of the most stood out appearances of this DECREE, of special interest for installers and mantenedores electricians and that affects directly to the provision of the electrical cables, is the compulsory request that appears in the additional technical Instruction number 12,
“Installations of low tension”, article 9, inner Installations of houses, section 9.4., where establishes :
// 9.4 In the new electrical installations of interiors of houses, and in the modifications or enlargements of the existent, only will be able to use drivers of minimum class of reaction to the fire, Cca-s1b, d1, a1. //
That is to say, in the modifications, enlargements and new inner installations of houses of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia will have to install cables that have a classification of reaction to the equal or upper fire to Cca-s1b, d1, a1.
The DECREE 192/2023 of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia includes another series of modifications and additional requirements for the electrical installations that they can be of the interest of proyectistas, engineers, installers and mantenedores electricians.
